We had the best, most relaxing, Memorial Day weekend. Lianna's family has a house in Grapeview, Washington. Ya, I had no idea where Grapeview was either. It is a cute little small town over on the peninsula. The commute to and from made this getaway even better! Most of the time when we travel on Memorial weekend we spend as much time in the car as we do at the actual destination. This was not the case for our trip to Grapeview. Traffic was awesome. Thank you for inviting us Lianna and Matt! It was just what we needed: no plans, lots of food, great friends, and long naps.
Chris picked me up from school on Friday, and we caught the Edmonds ferry to Kingston.
Upon arrival to the Grapeview house we were greeted by this lovely view.
The rest of the weekend consisted of: long walks, eating, laughing, lounging, catch phrase, hearts (don't mess with Bode when it comes to hearts!), blue footed boobies, fires and s'mores. Here are the memories in pictures:
The Grapeview Getaway
Beach walks
Lounging in the SUN!
Chillaxin'
Games
Sam in Gruden's pack...
The Grants
The Laytons. The Bodes. The Grants.
Take time to remember why we have this long weekend. Thank you to all the service men and women and their families.
