Preparing for Adeline

This pregnancy was a little tougher on me, but I think it had everything to do with chasing Cooper around.

20 something weeks??

39 weeks

I was able to complete Adeline's room a few weeks before her arrival. I am SO happy with how it turned out.

The purple quilt on the back of the rocker is mine from when I was a baby.

 I made Adeline's name from wood plaques I got at Michaels and scrapbook paper.

I made the banner from torn fabric, and then tied it to a ribbon. 

The empty frame is backed with chicken wire. I am planning on using it for her barrettes, ribbons and bows. 

Our neighbor, Hannah, hosted a shower for Adeline and invited all our neighborhood friends and their families. Hannah did SO much work for this shower. She is so creative. All of us (ladies) kept asking her, "Did you get this from Pintrest?" Her polite response every time was, "I am not on Pintrest."

Oh that's right. There are people who are just naturally creative. I personally would not know how that feels.

Did I mention that she is also a fabulous cook!? She made everything from scratch.

For party favors, Hannah hand painted adorable birds on rocks. They look great in our planters and flower beds. 

The neighbors totally spoiled Adeline. We are so lucky to bring our little girl home to such a loving community. It takes a village. I really love our village.
