Swimming Lessons

Cooper started swimming lessons (through Water Babies) this month. He has a half an hour lesson once a week. The pool is salt water and lightly chlorinated. It is also 90 degrees! Chris gets in with him when he is available. It is SO FUN to watch them! 

As usual Cooper, needed to take in his surroundings before he could relax enough to enjoy himself. These pictures capture his demeanor so well...

 He would NOT look at me. He was way too concerned about all the noisy people in the giant bathtub.

But once he was comfortable, he LOVED it!

He would not give up his green fishy! 

You may notice that Chris is in the pool with all moms. Way to go Dad!!

I took Cooper to his 3rd lesson because Chris was out of town for work. Of course it was "submersion day!" Yikes! At first I was nervous. Then I thought if I'm nervous, Cooper will be nervous. So I just went for it. His teacher is wonderful and made me feel very confident. Cooper went under the water twice, and he did great! He was a little startled at first, but no coughing or crying. Success!
