Adeline - 9 Months

Sweet baby girl, you are nine months old. Getting way too close to a year old and I am just begging time to slow down.

You were not feeling your nine month photo sesh. So I tried it twice (hence the two different outfits), in an effort to get one of you looking at the camera smiling.

Weight: 21 pounds 8 ounces (91%)
Height: 28 inches (64%)
Head Circumference: 18.25 inches (97%)
Clothes: 18 months (some 24 months)
Diaper: size 4
Teeth: 4! You got your outside top teeth before your top front teeth. You are now working on number 5 & 6 (your front top teeth, but they are not quite through yet).
Sleep: I am chalking it up to all the teeth you have been getting, but you have completely regressed. You are up every few hours, but you go back to sleep easily. I have attempted to let you cry a few times, but I can't because I am sure it is because you are in pain from your teeth. I also can't because you have woken up your brother a few times and he DOES NOT go back to sleep easily. It is slowly killing me. Once these top teeth are through, we may be going on a serious trip to sleep training boot camp. My heart hurts just thinking about it.
Eating: You eat three "meals" of solids a day, and nurse every three hours or so. I tried giving you puffs but your prefer to just play with them. When you actually get one in your mouth you act like you I have given you poison.
Milestones: You are trying really trying to crawl. After attempting to move forward you discovered that barrel rolling will get you places. So rolling is now your preferred method of movement. :) You giggle and laugh and babble ALL THE TIME. You say "mama" and "dada" often but the sounds are not attached to the correct people, yet. You and your brother screech and giggle with each other, like your own little language. It is pretty cute! You love watching other kids play, and you try to get into whatever they are doing. You like to jump right in with both feet! That being said, you have started to get a little bit of stranger danger, but nothing that you can't over come in a few minutes. The cutest thing ever though??? When I ask for kisses and you hold your head real still, learn forward and try with all your little might to plant one on me. It is amazing watching you learn, girl.

Video of you rolling instead of crawling

You have started to show an interest in books, but you are particular about the ones you want to listen to. Brown Bear and Ten Friendly Fish are read on repeat.

You have grown an attachment to this blanket. Wrist roll and knuckle dimples  :)

You play so well independently. You WILL get into anything you possibly can.

You love swinging.

First Easter :)

Adeline, your name sake, Grandma Ada, was often in a hat. As a young kid, I remember playing at Grandma Ada's house in the summer. If we were going to play outside, she insisted that we wear a hat. She would say it was to protect us from ticks, as she pulled out several options for us to choose from. When I think of Grandma Ada, I picture her standing in the shallow waters of the creek near her house with a fishing pole in hand and one of her floppy sun hats on. I can't help but think of her when I cover your fair head with a sun hat. She would have LOVED your hats.
