Pregnancy Brain...it is for real

Chris gets a gold star... I have been terrible about forgetting things lately... and he has been VERY patient with me.

Exhibit A:
I was supposed to pick Chris up at the car dealership so his car could get a tune-up. I drove straight to work, and he was stranded at the dealership. Most days he would just call me on my cell and say, "Hey, you forget someone?" But I had forgotten my cell phone on my desk at school the day before and he had no way of reaching me.

I did remember I had forgotten him, about the time I reached work. I turned around and found him standing in the parking lot of the dealership with his laptop bag over his shoulder just shaking his head. He laughed. I laughed so hard, there were tears.

Exhibit B:
Chris and I had an appointment at 4:00 to do a walk through with our builder before they hung drywall.  On this particular day, Chris was driving back to Seattle from Spokane and I was at work all day. Chris was going to text me and let me know if he would be able to pick me up from work so we could go to the appointment together, or if I would just meet him in Snoqualmie at 4:00.

I forgot my cell phone at home.

I emailed him to let him know I had forgot my phone, again, and he should call my classroom to let me know what to do. So he calls my classroom (with a room full of kindergarteners yelling in the background) and tells me to meet me at the house. I assume the Snoqualmie house.

We all know where assuming gets us.

So I start driving to Snoqualmie to be at the appointment at 4:00. Chris is waiting for me at the house we currently live in...located in Lynnwood. Problem, no cell phone to track me down.

Finally, he assumes I have just gone to Snoqualmie.

When he finally sees me, he looks so relieved... It crosses my mind that he had no idea if I was okay, in a wreck, lost...

(Sidebar: traffic was HORRIBLE and Chris and I were both 45 minutes late)

We hug. Chris expresses that he would REALLY like it if I could remember my phone, so he does not have to worry like that ever again. I agree.

Exhibit C:
We show up to our new house, and I go to take a photo. I don't have my phone. I also realize I forgot my camera. AHHHH!!! The whole point of this walk through is to take photos of our house before drywall. That way we know where major water pipes are, electrical stuff, and other inter-workings of the house.

Welp. We have a few photos I took on Chris's Blackberry. Not great.

Epic Fail.

There have been many little things I have forgotten recently. It is making my type A personality CRAZY! I hate feeling forgetful and unorganized. BRAIN COME BACK!

Despite this ridiculous pregnancy brain... here are a few updates on the house situation:

These photos were taken a while ago! The front and the back of the house. We now have windows and amazing views out our back slider and bedroom (I have pics of these views on Chris's Blackberry, will add later...if I remember).

Our Lynnwood house is officially on the market! For sale, rent-to-own, and if we need to we will just straight up rent it. Anyway, we have been CRAZY busy getting ready to show the house. Chris painted like a mad man...THANKS! He is multi-tasking here. Painting and talking on the cell. Nice work!

The pups have been shipped off to summer camp (parent's house in Spokane). It is much easier to show the house without the girls here. We miss them!! Thanks parents for being SO understanding and willing to take these two (when you already have two dogs of your own!). You're the best!
